Eligibility Criteria of Specialist Skills Stream
- You must be selected to work in an occupation classified under Major Groups 1, 2, 4, 5, or 6 of the Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO) and gain a salary that fulfills the Specialist Skills Income Threshold.
- You must have at least 1 year of relevant work experience in your related field or nominated occupation.
- You must accept a relevant skills assessment if it is needed for your nominated occupation.
- You must work only for your sponsor or an associated entity unless an exemption applies.
- You must fulfill the minimum English language ability requirements unless you are cleared from demonstrating this.

- The eligibility for adding family members depends on whether you hold a subclass 457 or 482 visa.

- You must be or have applied to become a Standard Business Sponsor.
- You must nominate the worker for an eligible occupation.
